Exciting Milestone: Official Launch of Dr. Lei’s Research Group

Today marks a significant milestone in my academic journey with the official launch of our research group in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, This moment represents the start of an exciting new chapter, where a passion for discovery aligns with the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to environmental chemistry and aerosol science.

I am thrilled to welcome two incredible students to this journey. Together, we are celebrating the start of a collaborative effort to tackle critical scientific challenges, focusing on aerosol-cloud interactions, improving climate models, and advancing our understanding of environmental science. Our goal is to generate impactful insights while fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment that inspires the growth, mentorship, and innovation of the next generation of scientists.

Launching this group fulfills a dream to create a space where science thrives, curiosity is celebrated, and bold ideas are brought to life. I am deeply grateful for the support and opportunities that have made this possible and for the guidance from collaborators, mentors, and colleagues who have helped me along the way.
